ITG Megaflow foam air filter for JC40 size base plate. The JC40 model of ITG Air Filter is designed to suit small twin carburettor applications or some throttle body setups. These famous red-band air filters, for road and race use, are easily recognisable by their twin red bands around the top and bottom. These bands are the visible part of two fibre-reinforced nylon injection mouldings which for the structure on which ITG's unique TriFoam air filter material is bonded.
The two outer layers of foam provide optimum filtration and load-up capacity whilst the inner layer is made from special self-extinguishing foam. These two layers combined give the very best air flow, engine protection and safety.
The ITG JC40 Air Filters are available in differing heights to help fitment for your application. ITG recommend fitting the tallest element possible, though a gap of 13mm (1/2") average must be left over the top of the filter for air to circulate. When using Ram pipes, there must be an absolute minimum gap of 19mm (3/4"), but preferably around 32mm (1 1/4") between the end of the ram pipe and the underside of the top of the filter.
