Wireless Control System Instructions
The Cartek Wireless Control system is a quick and easy complete system to allow the fitment of puch-button controls to a detachable racing type steering wheel. This unique system features 8 push-button switches which are linked, wirelessly, to 8 relays within the supplied control unit. These relays are microprocessor controlled and each one can be configured to provide a choice of functions which include momentary, latching and flashing modes which can be used for things like pate lane limiter, dash menus, lights, indicators and push to talk radio for example.
This complete kit from Cartek includes a universal fitting steering wheel panel which incorporates 8 sealed push-button switches and the infra-red transmitter module, an infra-red receiver and the relay control unit. Also in the kit is a multicoloured vinyl pack of button stickers and a UV Flourescent vinyl pack of button stickers for full customisation of the switches.
The infra-red transmitter module which is attached to the back of the steering wheel panel is battery powered and only consumes power when a push-button is pressed (an LED on the control unit glows when push-button is pressed) so battery life is rated to around 26,000 hours. The status of the battery is displayed on the transmitter.
Each channel can be configured by the user to perform any one of 6 options which are momentary action, latching (without memory), latching (with memory), flashing (slow), flashing (fast), and flashing with latching. Each push-button can also be changed/altered to swap channels.
User instructions for the Cartek Wireless Control System can be found in the Technical Info tab.
